PROJECT GOAL: Modernize this charming colonial Maryland residence while preserving the home's timeless suburban appeal.

// K I T C H E N
The most important part of this project was predictably the kitchen. The original kitchen was isolated from the rest of the house with insufficient space for appliances, including the refrigerator. Our first step was removing the wall that enclosed the kitchen, integrating it with the dining and nearby living spaces. This single modification enhanced the space to fully utilize the natural light it was designed to capture and enabled smoother movement on the home's main floor.
1. Calacatta Herringbone Marble Mosaic clads the backsplast wall. 2. A singular pendant dileniates the dining area. 3. Brushed Silver finishes on the cabinetry. 4. Inch-and-a-half Granite Countertops complete the kitchen's contemporary look.

// FLOORING & STAIRCASES:
We removed the dated wall-to-wall carpeting and replaced it with 7.5" French Oak planks throughout the home which instantly transformed the energy of every individual area.
The balusters of the main staircase were replaced with classic iron ones.

// PRIMARY BATH
We created a serene and soothing escape in the primary bathroom by leaning into spa-inspired neutral walls and flooring and incorporating natural wood tones and clean finishes.

// GUEST BATH
Another significant transformation in this project was the bathroom in the guest suite. We updated the original layout, creating straighter lines, which enhanced the space's effectiveness and efficiency and we finished the space with matte black fixtures and hardware.
