Kenya Rice Todd, is a seasoned, New York based, designer with demonstrated expertise in product, development, procurement, and project management.

​

Earning her undergraduate degree from Howard University, Kenya's sharp eye and her technical instincts led her to the luxury fashion and beauty world where she fine-tuned her creative skills at brands including: Ralph Lauren, Le Labo and Tom Ford Fragrances.

After experiencing significant personal change during the pandemic, Kenya began renovating her turn of the century Brooklyn home as a way to ground herself and create a new environment for a new chapter in her life. As she started to view home differently, she was reminded that it should create a sense of safety, calm, restoration, and belonging.

​

That realization inspired Kenya to pivot and after years as a corporate professional, she recognized that many of the skills she'd spent her career meticulously developing translated naturally into design and renovation. She strengthened that foundation with certifications in Construction Project Management and Finance from Columbia University, and started her own consulting studio focusing on residential projects.

 

A proud fourth-generation Brooklynite who grew up and visited family in beautiful, New York City brownstones, Kenya knows that old homes have stories to tell. Taking a home, already understanding what makes it special, and giving it a new identity with integrity, and respect for its history, while also allowing it to serve the families living there is at the heart of every project she takes on.
